CJ Mazzalupo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who believes that an authentic therapeutic relationship is integral to the healing process. In your work together, you will take a collaborative approach in promoting self-awareness, personal growth, and positive change. Your treatment will be individualized to your specific needs and goals, and you will play a vital role in the process, co-creating ways to move forward in your life that allow you to let go of old patterns preventing you from true self-actualization.
CJ’s approach is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive. They utilize psychoeducation and an eclectic combination of talk therapy, somatic awareness, mindfulness, Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral techniques, and art & writing practice to treat anxiety, depression, complex trauma, self-esteem issues, culturally complex stressors and more. CJ has worked for over 7 years in direct practice with diverse populations including the LGBTQIA community, underserved youth, BIPOC, and those living with disability.
CJ holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University and is SIFI Certified. CJ also holds a Masters in Fine Arts degree from New York University.
