Featured Clinicians

Julia Hunt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) passionate about the intersection of mental health, health, and overall wellness. Her clinical focus with individuals, couples, and families is guided by an ecological framework, seeing clients as whole persons (mind, body, soul) within their environments. Through a holistic approach, she draws upon various therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and motivational interviewing to help clients discover their strengths and work towards their goals. She has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings working through complicated familial and professional dynamics, depression, anxieties, PTSD, self-esteem, coping with illness, caregiver burden, grief and loss, culturally complex stressors, and more. Julia has found it important to develop multicultural sensitivity into her practice. She holds a Master’s of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and has completed Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic, Crisis Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Racial Bias, and Field Instruction (SIFI) training.
